Look Who's Posting!
Geez. It's been a while, hasn't it? Tonnes of stuff's happened to me and I bet you guys -assuming any of you are still watching my journal -have had lots of changes and stuff as well. But we will get into that later.

For now, this is a friendly PSA to say that I am back, and Twilight MSTing is going on as we speak. Or as I type. Well, not right this second, more as soon as I finish . . . yeah, you get the idea.

Hope there are still alive people out there! *waves*

*waves back* I'm still here, although I have to admit that I too am guilty of not having posted to my journal in ages. Not because I have nothing to say, but more like I don't know where to start ;-) I'm looking forward to reading more from you! I've missed your posts.

*glomptackles* I know what you mean. It's like the longer you stay away, the harder it is to come back. I've also moved house and my comp has no net, so that really limits the amount of LJing that can be done.

It's great to hear from you! Must get new icons now. I've run out, thanks to my reluctance to keep a paid account.

Em-reeeeeey! Welcome back!

Seriously, I haven't talked to you in AGES. How've you been? What's new in your life?
Megan Queenkesomon on July 16th, 2010 10:10 am (UTC)
Ooooh, same old same old really. Doing the community college thang, muckin about in speech class and a humanities ancient greek/roman literature thing for summer session. Iliad and Odyssey and Aeneid, y'know. Making leaps and bounds, albeit tiny, in my life on neopets, and making new furry friends. Haven't done much art or projects, and even less writing, my muses kinda left me hanging by my pants a while ago and haven't returned except to laugh at me tauntingly. Been obsessively squeeing over the new series of Doctor Who - Amy, Rory and Eleven are my new OTTG - one true tardis group. X3

How about you? Whats been up in the land down under?
Basilacres_and_acres on July 15th, 2010 08:25 pm (UTC)
It has been awhile but it's nice to see your alive and kicking, or whatever it is your doing.

Mostly I've been spending money on cosplay ;D But it's great to hear from you.
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 08:50 am (UTC)
Cosplay is always fun, what/who have you been becoming?
Emmaemeryboard on July 16th, 2010 08:57 am (UTC)
Aizen from Bleach, Milly from Code Geass and I'm saving up to do CC, Urahara and Shunsui, as well as a few others. What about you -you cosplay anyone good lately?
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 09:02 am (UTC)
Crossplay, interesting. I'm not good enough to stitch my own and I can't afford to buy so I do without.
Emmaemeryboard on July 16th, 2010 09:05 am (UTC)
All the good characters seem to be guys, heh.
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 09:08 am (UTC)
Well I disagree on some accounts, but there are some really nice ones, Wolfwood from Trigun, Sven from Black Cat, I'm noticing a trend of smoking men in suits all of a sudden. That's new.
Emma: Arctic Fox: help me?emeryboard on July 16th, 2010 09:11 am (UTC)
I do like some of the women but Bleach, which I'm cosplaying from most, has very few women, and those which they have don't really suit me. Urahara Kisuke is my favourite character and I'm really looking forward to cosplaying him :D
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 09:14 am (UTC)
Maybe in the future you can broaden your spectrum.
Emmaemeryboard on July 16th, 2010 09:18 am (UTC)
Well, I am doing CC (a woman) from Code Geass, Milly (also a woman from the same anime) and possibly Madame Red from Kuroshitsuji.
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 09:19 am (UTC)
Good luck, just keep naming characters I don't recognize and I'll keep nodding. Is Kuroshitsuji good?
Emmaemeryboard on July 16th, 2010 09:32 am (UTC)
The anime made me cry. Thankfully, the manga is still running, though it only updates once a month. Basically, it's about a shotacon kid with a demon butler. I really enjoy it.
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 09:33 am (UTC)
Shotacon? I rarely hear that used to describe anything nonsexual...unless it is sexual. Is it?
Emmaemeryboard on July 16th, 2010 09:46 am (UTC)
Well, not really. They hint at a connection between Ciel (the kid) and his demon butler, but nothing's ever actually stated and mostly they just seem to thrive on dressing him in frilly, loli-style clothing; hence the shotacon.
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 09:47 am (UTC)
Male or female loli style? I have a friend who's absolutely obsessed with the stuff, and personally I find the whole idea of traps hilarious.
Emmaemeryboard on July 16th, 2010 09:54 am (UTC)
I'm fairly sure it's female; if you want to know more, try Ciel Phantomhive in the image search. There are tonnes of frills -and my girlfriend is a professional trap. You should see her cosplay Lelouch from Code Geass; she makes such a good guy.
Basilacres_and_acres on July 16th, 2010 09:57 am (UTC)
In trap circles we generally call that a reverse trap but it's always nice to know a passing trap, though women generally do better than men. I recognize that pink outfit. Now I know ho he is, wonderful.
